As long as you still own your shares and the company issue a dividend, then you will get yours.

I believe (but don't quote me) that you could leave after the 2nd July and still get the dividend on the 31st.RobertT wrote:As long as you still own your shares and the company issue a dividend, then you will get yours.

You are correct. The Final Ex-Dividend date is the 2nd July. This means holders of Royal Mail shares on this date will get paid a final dividend of 14.3p per share on the 31st of July. Full time employees with a 729 share allocation will receive £104.25 (14.3 x 729). There is no tax or national insurance to pay on this payment unless you are a higher rate tax payer.

and held them on 2 Jul 2015 (Ex-dividend date) and 3 Jul 2015 (Record date).aiden01 wrote:yes.. if you still have your sharesmollylee10 wrote:I left royal mail on 16th june 2015,do i still get the share payment on 31st july?
Dividends are paid to the holders of shares as shown on the share register at the record date. So if you sold them on 2/3 july although you may be paid the dividend, you will have to pay it back.
Of course the reason for leaving will also have dictated if you kept the shares anyway.
