Those taking part in Save As You Earn will receive their welcome mailing from tomorrow

From tomorrow, 25 October 2014, those taking part in Save As You Earn (SAYE) will receive their welcome letter and option certificate. They will be sent to your home address.

Please keep these important documents somewhere safe.

Option certificate

Your option certificate will tell you how much you will save under SAYE each month, even if you are paid weekly.

It will also tell you the number of shares you will have the opportunity to buy at the end of the savings term and how much you can buy them for (the option price – see jargon buster).

Saving start dates

If you are paid weekly, saving deductions from your net pay (see jargon buster) will start in the week beginning 3 November 2014.

If you are paid monthly, saving deductions from your net pay (see jargon buster) will start on 28 November 2014.

Just received my certificate this morning, so from my original application for the amount of £10.50p per week to be taken, the adjusted amount is now, £6.50p per week. It mentions in the letter, a reduction of 43% has been applied to amounts above the minimum.

Royal Mail limited the amount of shares available through their scheme, and it was oversubscribed so they reduced each persons allocation.

your partner must be paying the minimum amount of £5 per month (£1.25 per week) then if their amount has not been reduced in any way ??

presumably a scheme buying shares in an entirely different company then as well !!??

I got my certificate this week having asked for the max contribution was surprised it gave me the minimum 16 quid
A month. Am sure I can't be the only one this has happened to, but that's what u get if trust the automated hot line.
