There are no deadline for selling them, rather the opposite you cant sell them for 3 years and even then there are tax implications, after 5 years there are none. Thats all based on them being staff issued shares not extra ones. The extra ones you can sell whenever you want.

Re: sell shares
Assuming we're talking about ones you've bought, the initial fee for selling RM shares was a minimum of £7.50 but that has now increased to a minimum of £17.50 assuming you sell online. Charges for telephone and postal selling are higher. A bit more info can be found here:

Don't sell them through Equiniti.eogre wrote:my origonal post was re. charges to sell from gov.uk allocation

Open a HSBC Invest direct account, and ask for a Stock Transfer form (or print one off, from their website). The transfer can take up to 6 weeks, but then you can sell them for a flat fee of £12.95, regardless of how many shares you hold.

Re: sell shares
Or you could transfer them to http://www.x-o.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; who only charge £5.95 per trade. Transfers out of Equiniti cost £10 I think so it's certainly something to consider.
