I have heard so many conflicting views of the £300 offer from Royal Mail not to go on strike I phoned Royal Mail HQ and spoke to Norman Candy (Policy Asst).
He said that the £300 offer was rejected so now does not now exist. He also said that the CWU would not allow for some members to get the money and some not. Fair enough!
Then im informed that in the Guardian on Tuesday there is an article saying Moya Greene has infact done precisely this and offered the £300 for postmen not to go on strike.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
