Re: Share Allocation News Flash
It's been done purely for tax purposes.
If they allocated them all in one go, we'd pay (I think) 40% Capital Gains Tax.
However, doing it this way, it means they remain free and untaxed at issue.
The only down side is we may have to wait 6 months or so longer to sell the second allocation.

Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.

So we are short changed yet again you will have to wait for 112 of your shares till next year 112 x 490p =£ 548.80p to be allocated so you may not get them till year four and six tax free! Oh capitalism don't you love it NOT!

You're complaining that you will have to wait (only) six months for the last 112 shares ? The only reason you're having to wait is because the current share price made the full 725 shares worth more than the legal tax limit of £3000 !!!!
Would you have preferred the share price to have only risen 5p since last Friday, and thus receive all 725 shares in a single allocation? You'd prefer to have shares worth only
£2428.75, just you could receive the 613+112 all in one go ???? Really ?

You clearly don't understand , your shares are now worth £3500 aprox, under SIP you only have up to £3000 each year.
