In her latest column in the August Courier, our chief executive, Moya Greene, has said colleagues at Royal Mail have a great opportunity to have a meaningful stake in the company.
Automatic Free Shares
Moya said: ‘I’m delighted that, instead of having to apply for your Free Shares, all eligible employees will automatically receive them.
‘That means you’ll have no forms to fill out and no paperwork to deal with, unless you want to opt out. The overwhelming majority of Royal Mail Group Limited employees in the UK, including Parcelforce Worldwide employees, will be eligible.
‘Despite recent speculation, your employment rights will not change in any way when you get your Free Shares.
‘The Government has also confirmed that eligible employees will be able to buy additional shares through a retail offer.
‘Eligible employees will be given priority over members of the public when those shares are allocated.
