signing the new contract
Are we being forced to sign the new contract? I'm not bothered about the shares or the lump sum for signing it I just want a job in the next three years, no pay cut or loss of hrs. I know some people in other work (supermaket) opted to stay as they were when their supermarket got took over by another and are now better off for it. They keep being offerd a lump sum to change over to the new contract but keep turning it down.

Currently there is no new contract to sign. Thats not to say there won't be at some time in the future if we get taken over, however at present our current contracts, and their ability to be changed by collective agreements holds the field, and won't change without a fight.
