how does pt pro rata work?

Hi sorry if this has already been asked, but could anybody in simple terms explain the pro rata shares? and is there a length of service before we qualify for shares. My contract hours are 24 but i try to do as many as possible to make as near 40 as i can. My question is are they based on actual hours worked or contracted? thankyou.

All shares and bonuses should be paid on hours worked rather than pro rata bullshit, cause if your doing regular overtime which contributes to the profits then you should reap the rewards.

The lump sums from the BT2010 agreement were paid on hours worked and not contracted hours.

Why should a 15 yr part timer get less shares than a 5 yr full timer,ok I can get my head round Christmas bonus being pro rata,but all shares should be equally distributed.
