Charging 60p to post a letter is to stamp the Royal Mail for privatisation.

Lib Dems are keener than even the Cons on flogging off a service dating back 500 years to the reign of Henry VIII.

Business Secretary Vince Cable, so venerable that he probably remembers Anne Boleyn’s mother, is making a colossal mistake.

Political machismo and proving free market credentials drive his flogging mania.

But, hello Vince, haven’t you realised that privatisation’s unpopular?

The train crash sent it off the rails and woke the public to the costs of Fat Controllers demanding profits.

Yet the ConDem Coalition’s obsessed with selling what we collectively own.

Roads, cops, health, education, councils and the Royal Mail are all going under the hammer.

Labour made expensive mistakes and the disastrous letters PFI will be on the last Government’s tombstone.

Putting up the cost of a First Class stamp by nearly a third will be only a down payment if Cable’s not stopped soon.

Opposing the mail robbery is a national duty if you value a fine national service.

The Cons and Lab both tried and they were beaten.

Cable will regret making this a Lib goal.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
