The Post Office is vital to our communities. And the threat of privatising the Royal Mail has rightly made many of us very worried about the future of our local service.

The strength of feeling is clear. In just a few weeks, 1,943 emails have been sent to MPs asking them to keep the post public, and 4,777 of you have signed our letter to David Cameron protesting the coalition government's plans privatise the Royal Mail.

So much is at stake - mail services cut, mail prices increased, and local Post Offices under threat of closure. We will keep reminding our MPs what is at stake right up until the minute they vote.
