Why cant the CWU organise a Sunday Demo in London?
So, that all the posties that are working on the days they have already held demos, can have the oppotunity to attend. Us and all the other like minded working people of this country. If the Country Side Alliance could do it some years back, surely we can do it now, to galvanise support from the vast network of people who are opposed to this mad plan. Many many people would then be able to bring along family members and make a day of it. Come on Billy get out of your Westminster Mon-Fri comfort zone thinking and give the people the chance to show this government how much support the CWU has.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Why cant we have a Sunday Demo?
Agreed all meetings /demos are at at a time when a good deal of posties are still on delivery.A Sunday demo would be brill , could we have some of those giant balloon thingies that those Euro Unions have. Also it strikes me posties are being had over in each country and are being screwed under the directives of the Euro-Reich so next time we strike could it coincide with our European cousins.Sorry if Ive gone a bit meglomaniac !pop it in pete wrote:Why cant the CWU organise a Sunday Demo in London?

Re: Why cant we have a Sunday Demo?
I'll be demonstrating to the wife, this Sunday, how it is possible to lie in bed until dinner time, reading the newspaper, eating my cooked breakfast and watching tv until I decide to get up...................actually , no I won't because she will be working Sat and Sun night this weekend...........what a bummer and here's me on leave next week as well
