LTB 544/10 - Royal Mail Group - Privatisation

Post by POSTMAN »

No. 554/10
Ref GS 11.0
Date: 17/06/10

(ALL BRANCHES)

To: The Branch Secretary

Dear Colleague,

Royal Mail Group - Privatisation

Further to the Annual Conference decision on the subject of Royal Mail Group Privatisation, this LTB is to update Branches.

A National Campaign Committee has now been established. Please note that as previously advised the Bill to privatise Royal Mail will have its First Reading in October 2010.

The Houses of Parliament rises on Thursday July 29th and resumes on Monday September 6th 2010. There are no further dates scheduled as yet.

The Union has drawn together a list of the 65 marginal seats and the run up to this is attached to the LTB. This will be useful in pulling together the coalition on the matter.

Further details will be issued in due course.

Any inquiries on this LTB should be addressed to the General Secretary's Office quoting the Reference GS 11.0

Yours sincerely

W HAYES DAVE WARD
General Secretary Deputy General Secretary (P)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Sooner the better , our T and c's are already at max speed in the race to the bottom, any change might improve the rate of decline, certainly couldn't speed it up :chuckle
