Been thinking about this quite a bit, what would be the best way for the union to approach this?
Get involved with the sell off, make sure that any deal recognises the role the union plays in Royal Mail, and not just the recent events, things like Health and Safety etc etc making sure they have a voice in any changes which may occur, basically get in and get their feet under the table, have a big say in what goes on in RM...
OR fight it, tooth and nail, oppose any sell off/break up of RM...

Looking for a adult debate on this if thats possible :crazy: , i really think that with the current Govt we will be part sold to what looks like CVC, if not this year then next year, or the year after........

Tbh i think fighting it and spending loads is a waste of time,but they (The CWU) would have to be seen to be doing something.

Perhaps getting in on the act and trying to get safeguards and measures for the workforce would be they way to go.

But they are not going to do that as they will be looked at as if they have given in.

Either way we're f****d.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
