Another quick update as the new government takes shape. Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, has announced the reponsibilities of his juniors.
Most significantly, he’s given his fellow Lib Dem Ed Davey responsibility for “Postal affairs (Royal Mail and Post Office Limited)”.
That means the Cabinet minister and the junior minister most involved with the coalition’s plans to sell off some of Royal Mail are Lib Dems.
Who’d have thought it: in a Conservative-Liberal team, the yellows are the ones doing the privatising.

What a silly comment from the Journo, the sell off has been Lib Dem policy for around 2 years and was in their manifesto.
