Jonathan Djanogly (Shadow Minister (Corporate Governance) (Also Shadow Solicitor General), Business; Huntingdon, Conservative)

To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on what dates (a) the Secretary of State, (b) he and (c) his Department's officials have made an assessment of market conditions relevant to the part-privatisation of Royal Mail since 1 July 2009.

Patrick McFadden (Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills; Wolverhampton South East, Labour)

holding answer 18 January 2010

The Department has been continuously monitoring market conditions. Our assessment remains that current market conditions would not enable the Government to secure a partner for Royal Mail, through a minority share sale, on terms that would be value for money for the tax payer.

Good ol JD

That is what I expect of him, he is making sure the Government have to declare their intentions rather keeping shum.

Put aside him being a Tory and hes not that bad a bloke, his constituencey work is very good, but then that should be true for ALL MP'S regardless of which political party they belong to.

Ive just about got him accepting the 10 year ballot to keep or ditch the political funds in not nesscary anymore and a waste of money, money that comes from hard working men and women exercising their democratic right to pay into a politiucal fund.
