THE HOOPER REPORT : CASE NOT MADE

Post by lovejoy »

Dear Colleague

THE HOOPER REPORT – CASE NOT MADE

In recent weeks the Union made contact with a number of business consultants to go through, in detail, the assumptions that underpin the Hooper Report.

As a result the attached adobe file has now been published by Compass and is a very important contribution to our ‘Keep the Post Public Campaign’. A hard copy will follow in the post on Monday.

What’s crucial about the document is that it challenges the very evidence relied upon by Government to substantiate its plans for partial privatisation.

We urge all Branches to gain an understanding of the reports findings and use it to support local campaign initiatives, including further dialogue with local MP’s.

Compass has sent the report to all MP’s and the Union will raise the findings in future discussions with MP’s, Lords and Ministers.

Further information will be sent our in due course.

Yours sincerely

Billy Hayes Dave Ward
General Secretary Deputy General Secretary (P)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
