Mandelson's monstrous move

Post by Big Daz »

Despite huge opposition from the public, trade unions and even Labour MPs, Peter Mandelson has just published a Bill in the House of Lords which will effectively privatise our post.
He's putting the very heart of the Royal Mail in jeopardy.
Mandelson's plan is called "The Future of the Universal Postal Service in the UK". But we know what the future is - public ownership. He's simply not listening to the vast majority of people who oppose his plans. I know that you signed our petition earlier this week; now I'd like you to write to your MP asking them to oppose the privatisation as well:

Sending a letter is really easy to do - it'll only take a minute or two and we've even drafted a sample letter for you - but feel free to edit it as you see fit.
Mandelson has introduced this Bill in the unelected House of Lords because he wants to pressure MPs in to accepting the plan. We need to make sure they listen to us - the people who elected them - instead. Make sure your MP knows what you think -

There are some things in life that are too big for us to change. This isn't one of them. We're at the beginning of our campaign to stop this unnecessary sell off. Write to your MP and show your support for a publicly owned post, delivering a universal service.

Thank you.
