Business Secretary Lord Mandelson has introduced controversial proposals to part privatise the Royal Mail.
Bill introduced in House of Lords to part privatise the Royal Mail
Labour MPs are threatening a large revolt against the plans and Labour peer Lord Clarke of Hampstead, a former postman, shouted "shame on you" as Lord Mandelson brought his Bill to the House of Lords for a first reading.
Lord Mandelson, introducing the Bill a day earlier than expected, told peers the it would "make provision for the restructuring of the Royal Mail Group and of the Royal Mail pension plan".
Sneaking the bill in early especially with the other news stories today.
