An article by George MacDonald, a postie from Scotland - quite interesting.

Its is he could write free articles on here, he would have a captive audience, in a good way as opposed to those Plasma TVs (made in 1984?)

What would we be like if we didn't privatise Gas, Oil, Electric, British Steel, Railways and BT ? Probably a more healthy economy and stronger pound and more jobs and income staying in UK.

Have the customers benefits from it.

He's right about Telecom , I do know some of their old staff , they do remember the drip , drip effect of negative press , that bl**dy woman didn't knight those press barons for nothing !
There was a private is good and public is bad mantra , going back to those TV ads and share sales - somebody said " Sid would now be strung up from a lampost "

I've been there with a now privatized industry , it could be very bitchy and nasty , all the hate stirred up and people outside the industry thinking they should be in charge making trouble for staff. Managers were openly vindictive and hostile , the split ups were to neutralize the main big union , the brainwashing & union bashing was relentless , bullying was rife with macho management to soften people up and " character build " .

Herein lies the question for me, considering the expriences of Telecom workers, should I consider puting in for EVR or stay on til a better deal comes up ?

One work Colleage has been in 14 years is 61, he has been offered £28.000 when he asked for a figure for EVR.

trouble is there isn't that many Jobs out there now.
