Everyone's tax circumstances are different, but (and it's somewhere in the reams of documents somewhere and is a general principle for workplace share schemes) that as long as you haven't taken them out of the the scheme and then they are sold or in this case taken over from within the scheme then they are not subject to tax and NI.Strong bull wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025, 16:48Thanks for confirming.
I'm pretty sure we don't pay tax and NI on the sip shares. Can someone confirm that please

Thanks
Thought that was the case, just needed a bit of reassurance. I don't really want to sell as I think with the upcoming USA changes shares are worth alot more.
It's a shame that the incompetent board who will probably trouser millions and useless union keep advising you to sell.

I don't think the union has advised anyone to sell.
They have pointed out the possible pitfalls of owning shares in a company once it has been delisted.

But never mention you have 14 days after unconditional date to sell at the agreed price
Bit like the recent if you don't vote yes R/M will collapse and you won't have a job

At my local level, reps were actually telling people that if they didn’t accept the offer as soon as possible, they would lose their shares!!clashcityrocker wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025, 18:04I don't think the union has advised anyone to sell.
