How are the shares paid out?

Yes. Because the coding for the payment will be an unusual one, its likely even in an automated system it will be recognised as a one-off payment rather than a regular one.Of course that does depend on the software author being a decent coder.

Just phoned them..As was said before in here..We will get them on the 4th of November..maybe after...

I asked the reason why.they said due to the amount of people selling them....only about 20 of my office of 160 sold there's..so maybe there sitting on the interest money.??

This is very poor behaviour by Royal Mail. The same occurrence arises when we are given bulk election material to deliver we almost have to beg to receive the moneys that we are duly owed as it stays sat in their coffers accumulating interest on money which isn't rightfully theirs. Some may say we haven't paid for these 'free shares' out of our own pocket. But, we have paid in many other ways. We have seen our daily volumes of items to deliver rise and rise and rise. Staff shortages and enforced overtime to save budgets. Overtime when asked to perform is scrutinized to the point of arguments with (some) managers all in order to save the budget. Unreachable daily targets as you will know all too well if you're in the daily environment of a now privatised Royal Mail Delivery Office. So yes we do deserve to be treated with a little more respect from RM as to what exactly is happening regarding the process and receipt of our 'free shares' if we as individuals do decide to sell them. For reference I have not contacted HR/Payroll regarding the issue as this is a problem they can do without. They probably know as much as we do, which isn't a lot.

The whole thing stinks. I don't know about anyone else but my broker for other shares charges £8 broker fee so dunno how Equiniti gets 0.5%........

I had my paper work through last week saying the shares have sold. The brokers have taken £17.50 for admin, transferred £16 into my account and sent the rest of it to RM to be paid into my next pay(this weeks). I had a feeling it was'nt going to be paid this week just wished I was wrong.

So the whole lot goes through your wages so if you have any deductions or tax credits and you need to send the payslips off your f****d.
