Your Free Shares if you leave Royal Mail...
I am due to leave at the end of this month. I have worked with RM for 7 years, how will this effect the free shares I received when we were privatised?

The very first post in the thread spells it out a lot more clearly than I could.

I’ve just retired at state pension age after 30 years service, do I need to do anything with all my shares, I’ve over 1200 shares?

You're over 60 therefore you're a 'good leaver' and the shares are all yours to do whatever you want with.walkthewalk wrote:I’ve just retired at state pension age after 30 years service, do I need to do anything with all my shares, I’ve over 1200 shares?
You will have to take them out of the SIP, but it's your choice whether you keep them or sell them.
You'll probably get a letter in a few weeks giving you your options.

I’ve recently left the company and was informed that they would be selling my shares for me.
Does anyone have a phone number number so I can ask when I will receive this money?

I was searching the forum for the answer to this very question. As usual Robert T comes up trumps! Thank you, Robert for all the effort you put into addressing people's financial questions on the forum.RobertT wrote: ↑22 Jun 2015, 14:01If you're 60 or older and resign you are deemed to be retiring and you will keep your shares regardless of the 3/5 year rule. If you're under 60 then you need to be a 'good leaver' to keep them.rofrla wrote:In order to retire you have to resign, therefore you resign not retire. What is the legal position as to keeping or loosing the shares?

I have left RM and have been sent option form for my shares.
What's the £25 fee for.? Didn't think we have to pay anything to them being transferred into a holding one you leave the business. It actually says if you don't return the form after the deadline then the shares will be transfered by default and there is no fee! Err! Very confused about that.
