We can't strike over privatisation. but we can make it as messy as possible.marie wrote:anybody want to bottom line for me - WHY we should strike, and, to achieve WHAT?
its GETTING SOLD - nothing will stop it - 'cept zero interest from buyers, which I doubt.
have always striked in the past , and seem to have achieved sod all 'cept loss of money - so thanks for any replies.
Thanks for the reply, TBT - everything listed there is ideals we've striked for previously - and tbh, can't remember if we scored a victory.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:

The reasons why I am voting yes are all over the board but basically.
The pay rise - its below inflation, is not guaranteed and its got chains.
The No strike deal - No Union should accept a No strike deal.
The Pension - Acceptance of all their changes which means if RPI is over 5% your pension loses its value each year
The 3 year guarantee - Not long enough for me, and probably pointless anyway.
The Industrial Stability Agreement - A no strike deal in all but name.
aw gawd, don't think the " no strike " thing matters a damn - cos we can strike all we want - only thing that happens is we lose wages, cos we go back in and clear up any backlogs quick sharpish.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:No we have never has a NO STRIKE deal on the table - that on its own could spell the end of the Union influence and any chance of us getting our collective opinions heard.
