Directors of listed companies are only allowed to buy or sell shares in that company in relatively limited time windows, to be above suspicion of ‘insider trading’. There are many Close Periods where they are barred from trading AT ALL !! So if the CEO is investing over £400,000 of his own money in RM shares, I would say that’s a vote of confidence in his ability to transform the company’s fortunes*

* or at the very least, an astute move, given the company will pay 32p in dividends in the next 14 months.
On a share price of around 207p, that’s a return of over 15%, even if the share price doesn’t go up
