Partnership share matching scheme December?

Post by james »

34 shares purchased yesterday,15/01/19 + 2 free for £100 gross,£68 net.

That makes it 135 shares for the first 4 months.

Really expect the share price to rise when the Christmas results come through in a few days time.

Wonder how many employees took advantage back in August when the scheme was introduced?

My memory is fading so can anyone tell me when the first lot of shares were bought and how long I need to hold them before I can sell without penalties ?

The free shares awarded 15/10/13 or the current Partnership matching scheme that started 15/10/18?

You need to hold the shares for 5 years to sell without penalties.

My Feb allocation isn't showing up yet and also according to the website my last contribution date was 25/1, so not sure why my last 3 contributions aren't showing either.

Anyone else have similar issues?

(The contributions are still showing on my payslip, so not sure where they've been going!)

Thanks for the reply James, so are you contributions also not showing up since 25/1 as well?

I can understand my latest allocation taking a day or two to show up but I'm a bit puzzled why my contributions haven't been updated for over 3 weeks.

Last contribution amount: £23.07
Last contribution date: 25/01/2019
Contributions received this tax year: £484.47

Again it's exactly the same for me and still a day or two for the update on the website for some reason.
All good, just sit and wait, long term investment.

27 bought + 2 free 15/10/18 @ £100 (-8p dividend 16/01/19 )
28 bought + 2 free 15/11/18 @ £100 (-8p dividend 16/01/19 )
38 bought + 2 free 15/12/18 @ £100
34 bought + 2 free 15/01/19 @ £100

£100 gross = £68 net.

Expect around 35 bought for Febuary at least @ £2.79.

Minimum 5 year investment plan for this.

NEW EMPLOYEE SHARE PLAN

How long will Partnership & Matching be in place for?

There is no formal timeline for the Partnership & Matching Plan. We intend to run the Plan for an initial period before reviewing it. If we decide to close or alter the Plan at any time, we are required to give you at least three months’ notice.

I read the terms and conditions from cover to cover and the above was not stated initially.
Still think it it is a win/win situation.
Good enough for Rico, good enough for me.

Thanks again James, so it's not only mine that is not showing the contributions for the last few weeks.

I've got no intentions of selling any time soon, always a long term hold and I'm confident the SP will recover nicely once the shorting Hyenas have finished hammering it and had to close their positions.

I phoned up about this a couple of months ago.Apparently Equiniti take/transfer our deductions on the last day of every month and in between these days our weekly deductions are held by payroll/ Royalmail, probably earning interest. Equiniti then use the money they take to buy shares on the 15th of the next month, ie Equiniti take the money on 31.01.19 and use this money to buy shares on 15.02.19, again probably earning interest. Equiniti can only update our contribution record when payroll transfer the money and they buy the shares.Using this month as an example, all of our contributions after 25.01.19 will be held by payroll/Royalmail until Equiniti take them on 28.02.19, and buy shares on 15.03.19. Only then will our contributions/deductions be updated, and only up to 28.02.19.
It took me a while to get my head round, and I was over an hour on the phone, as I was convinced I was getting screwed over.

Ah thanks Macphee for further clearing that up, I didn't realise contributions only showed up after a full months worth had been made.

The Equinti website must have updated earlier this morning for February.

15/02/18 = 33 bought + 2 free.

That makes it 160 bought + 10 free for the first 5 months of this scheme.
5 months x £68 net pay = £340 divided x 170 shares = £2 a share.

This is far,far more than I had inticipated at this stage.
If this scheme produced anywhere near 400 shares in its first year I would be more than happy.

I bought 400 shares @ £3.69 in late October 2018 for £1500 and I thought they were cheap!
