Can we buy using our Equniti account? I can't find the option anywhere.

Will probably buy when the ballot is plastered on the new - moment of least certainty - or perhaps half then and half after ballot, a strike vote may drop the price more.

Not the same account that holds the free shares, but if you contacted them they may be able to set up a separate account.

If anyone is looking to buy additional shares I can highly recommend X-O as a trading platform, fees are only £5.95 per trade (much cheaper than Equiniti the last time I looked) very easy to use website and they're extremely helpful and efficient if you do need to contact them with any novice investor queries.

That means, at current prices she now holds circa £400,000 worth of shares.

Interesting that she just acquired a load more at that price (£3.98). She must think the firm is in good shape going forward.

Hold on - I thought we were struggling

Perhaps she thinks the proposed pension reforms and savings are a done deal ? Hey, don't get too cocky Moya - pride before a fall etc.

Striking has one effect in business, lose of trust from consumers, loss of money for striking individual, drop in value of custom and customers. In today really world, who can afford to lose money. Household debt at record levels, lowest pay increase in decades. After over 30 years in RM I have seen many strikes and I cannot remember one in which it benefited me, even the 6 week strike in the late 80s. I have lost enough money over the years and while am not happy with the proposals put forward, I cannot afford to let me family suffer in these current circumstances!

I went on strike for 7 weeks in 1971, never won a thing, RM is a business in decline partially due to enforced Downstream access in the 90s and the obvious one, the Internet, Royal Mail could never compete with the competition due to the very expensive pay and benefits package RM employees enjoy, there has never been a level playing field and this was down to the Labour Govnt who wanted to open the access market in this country to appease their friends in Europe, interestingly at the time the Germans refused to go down this route as they knew it would decimate the German postal service.
It seems at this point in time senior managers in RM have really lost their way, they seem incapable of implementing a business model that their customers expect, the solutions to a declining market are obvious but it seems no the the out of touch senior managers who are frightened to say no and just accept what their tells them to do without question.
Glad I'm out of that environment.

What is there to be ashamed of except if you don't check the facts.

Moya EXERCISED her right to 57,870 shares on 28 July and the price quoted is accurate. I didn't say, nor did mark.cup say she sold them. I'd appreciate it if you didn't cast doubt on my character without at least a cursory examination of what was said and the facts therein.
