Would that be the people who (about 3.5 years ago) where claiming the shares would be worthless by the time we where able to sell them, or the people (more recently) who where of the opinion that if a large enough number of posties sold out ASAP then it would affect the price? The former where obviously very wrong (£4.914 as I write this), whilst the latter where merely wrong to the extent that they where wrong at all about how many people chose to sell.1969tonka wrote:Not hearing much from the people who predicted the stock would crash once they all came up for sale today (there was a slight fall of 10p but the market as a whole was slightly down)

When being clever you should make sure you make no mistakes yourself,I am pretty sure you should have wrote........................Poor English,IT should be were and not "where."
Notice the word IT and also where the full stop is placed before the comma.
Regardless of peoples reasons for selling or keeping the shares i'm amazed on how people rushed into selling on the first day with no knowledge of when they would receive their money!postman0451 wrote:Just called payroll, and they said earliest they will be paid is 4 November.
Acorrding to my share account the money has been sent to RM on the 17th So they are gaining interest on it for 3 weeks! I'm not surprised though.A2B wrote:Regardless of peoples reasons for selling or keeping the shares i'm amazed on how people rushed into selling on the first day with no knowledge of when they would receive their money!postman0451 wrote:Just called payroll, and they said earliest they will be paid is 4 November.
I was also told this on the phone.it will be put in the payroll on the next available date.either this week or the next weeks payroll, next month's payroll if you are paid monthly..will be.utter bullshit.if they hold onto it when they said different..Jhaigh82 wrote:Well this is what I received in my email when selling my shares.
Net proceeds from taxable sales (after deduction of income tax, NI and the dealing fee) will be paid to your salary bank account by your payroll on the next available pay date following settlement. If the proceeds reach payroll after the cut-off date, your proceeds will be paid in the following pay period. Please note that sales of non UK listed stocks may take significantly longer.
Not sure how they can hold them for three weeks.
