Royal Mail stake to be sold off, George Osborne announces

I won't be alone in being angered by Osborne's statement "That business is now thriving after we gave it access to investment from the private sector".
We all know that the move from loss to profit over the last several years has nothing to do with investment from the private sector but is from us having an ever increasing, and often unmanageable, workload, the ending of 'ghost overtime' and other 'efficiencies'.

The Government says it is selling it's remaining 30% stake in RM for £1.5 billion which values the shares at £5 so is it any wonder the share price dropped to £5 ! Today we find out that banks and City pension funds are to get preferential treatment now the election is over.

and we won't get extra shares and the price will drop as there are more shares available for sale.

So .. the Government plan to sell off 30% of the shares - and the price plummets by 25p ...

So - next October - when we get the chance to sell off our 10% - will the price plummet by 8p ???

They''ll probably be worth about 330p

But did any of us ever expect otherwise ?
