If ever I'm lucky enough to land another job, it will be an improvement on what I have now, not a straight swap, like for like.
Only a moron would do that, and by God, do we have more than our fair share of them, and that's a fact.

flyingsam wrote:The RM lies just go on and on, Just before Christmas the shares were worth around £1500 ,now after the heavy Christmas post ,they are worthless.lie. Wait and watch as they will start to go up again in May June right up to January, then they will start crashing down again.RM say they have told us that just like real shares they can go down as well as up,yes ok,but unlike real shares you can't bail out when you can see they are going to be worthless.RM keep on and on tell everybody the mail is down again, like shite it is,We all knew that when they told offices to stop weighing the mail it would go down straight away, lie. Our health and safety is top of their list, like shite it is,they could not care less about you.The also lied about the pension, they took a 10 year pension holiday, but took all the postmans pension money over that time, can I have it back please as it did not go into my pension.the cwu should go to court and get all that money back for the postman.RM tell us we can be sacked if we delay mail, but its ok if the managers to hold whole rounds in the office,The managers say all RM want is for postman to work all their hours, yer ok,just like our little shite of a manager does, when he goes to all those meetings that don't exist .The only thing postman can do to feel better is take your time, bring mail back.and have as many days off sick as you need to recover from illness..We all know that the top people at RM are making millions for themselves.mail down mail down, its no good going on strike,as we will never make the money back we lose, work to rule, the whole office, tell the public about it,get them all to opt out of door2door.mail down mail down.fracking hell if its down anymore we will be paying RM to come to work.come on Mr Hayes and Mr Ward get off your arses and earn your money.o one last thing thanks cwu for dumping us all in the biggest pile of shite ever.![]()

I take it from that statement that you are fully signed up to RM operating as a "business" rather than a public service ?dingo wrote:
Face the facts , Royal Mail are not in a great place financially , they are losing revenue faster than they are rasing it. They have a pension deficit which they cannot afford and they have de regulation which is giving away the profitbale parts of the mail services whilst leaving Royal Mail with the costly unprofitable parts of the mail system.
You gotta stay off that skypoker..............fishtank wrote:The problem isn't playing the cards you've got....it's how you play them and whether you have the bottle go "all in" with what you have.
The membership gave the CWU a decent set of cards in 2009 but instead of raising over Christmas they decided to flat call with the interim agreement and showed weakness to the opponent...Royal Mail sensed that weakness and raised....and the CWU,unsure of how strong it's hand was....depending on opinion either agreed to split the pot or folded.
Great analogy, fishtank.fishtank wrote:The problem isn't playing the cards you've got....it's how you play them and whether you have the bottle go "all in" with what you have.
