For Christ sake Billybobs, grow some balls and get some nast in your argument. We as a union are shyte with the media and shyte with keeping ourselves up to date. You Billybob are paid very very well to represent us, and get the message out to the public. I cannot stand to watch you stutter, stammer and sweat on TV repeating the same old stats about how the public dont want this sell off. Get someone who is capable of handling questions under pressure, who can twist and deflect arguments to the Unions benefit. Alan Johnson was expert when he was secretary, Dave Ward is passionate when speaking but can appear as full of bravado and a bit old school, which doesn't come across well in the right wing media.

Re: Billy raises privatisation with David Cameron
Times have moved on but unfortunately the CWU has not. Membership is falling and the vast majority of subs goes to maintaining a dated system.........so who is going to be the new "owners" of the CWU..............you have to question that age old chestnut of he who pays the piper and at the moment it's a little bit nebulous as to how much financial support Royal Mail are giving to the CWU to keep the peace. The future is grim for the CWU certainly another amalgamation is on the cards unless they control the finances...........with yet another amalgamation will expenses be trebled as they were doubled last time?
The CWU reminds me of the tale of the Australian hospital showing the media around the new building, the Director boasts that the hospital has 2000 beds, 4000 nurses, 350 Doctors and Specialists, 12 Operating Theatres and 24 Surgeons, a Director, 2 Assistant Directors, 16 Secretaries, 750 Clerical Assistants and an annual budget of 22 Million Australian dollars............when asked by a reporter how many patients the hospital could treat the Director replied............"Patients?, Patients?......strewth we haven't got time to be treating patients".
