The manager doing our collections revision keeps talking about 'value added time'. We have no idea what this is and I'm not sure he does either, but I assume it means doing more work in less time. When I asked if we were going to get more hours in for the tipping and segging of collections mail this was all he blabered on about, so I took that as a no

I definitely like that one philthy "value added time", I have absolutely no idea what on earth it means but I can assure you I will be using it tomorrow to the "management" on one pretext or another and I'll just bet they nod sagely without realising it means feck all It may even end up in common use........I hope so because I will smirk each time it's used.

It def seems to be the in word at the moment. My line manager keeps quoting it to me, when i ask him what it means and what he whats from it he just shrugs his shoulders and say dunno, how am i suposed to plan a revision with "value added time" if no one knows what it means.

Yes I get it now..............there are periods when there are precious moments.........on some of them though I wouldn't be able to write or use a keyboard.
