Look at what other companies have been through like BT , British Gas and whist competiion effected them privitatisatiion has been repsonsible for removing over 60% of the jobs since 1994.

I have to ask what is so bad that you would not want to support a fight against privatisation ?

Firstly, the removal of jobs. The, well, in theory anyway, "publicly" owned Royal Mail, must be getting ever closer to that 60%, Dingo. What is it, since that Labour shower appointed Leighton & Crozier in 2002, some 60,000 less employees in RM, and now, with the latest load of shyte agreed by the hopelessly inept CWU, another 24-26,000 gonna disappear once automation makes the delivery of post in the UK even later than at present.

Secondly, why would I not support any more campaigns that the CWU conducts?
Because from the day I started in this job, to the very present, I have stood on every picket line, in every strike, that was ever asked of me, and how have myself and my colleagues fared?
Badly, Dingo, badly. Our working conditions just get worse, and worse, and worse. The latest decline in working conditions, the enforced increase in junk mail we are forced to deliver, and the end to decent finish times on Saturdays, and the new standards that RM will expect us to meet in order to make up for the shortfalls in staffing levels, that was the last straw for me, I didn't lose close on to £1,200 during the last strike, because I had "asperations" to have more junk mail hampering an already heavy workload, and a later finish on Saturday after a long, hard, week, or to have to meet standards that don't take age into consideration, or fatigue, I didn't strike for that shyte, but that's how I was rewarded.
Well, no more, enough, is a bloody enough. We are all but privatised in name, anyway.

Sorry to remind you, but you did express the self same sentiment about the last privatisation attempt Perhaps you could improve the accuracy of your predictions with a more analytical approach?
Sometimes ,when a chip gets that big it can distort your thinking. Why not let sleeping dogs snooze ?holding a grudge against the CWU will not serve you well, you might try accepting some responsibility yourself
