Bitten by 2 dogs yesterday, bite to arse (pierced skin) and front thigh,
Union seem to think that they can get some compensation due to the injuries, manager filled out Erica as soon as I got back,
Didn't go off sick as they weren't life threatening but was very scary and has visibly bruised and cut quite bad,
I've taken photos and filled out form,
My question is- is it worth going through with it or is it lots of hassle?
What kind of money are we talking about?
p.s- dogs would have eaten me alive if owner hadn't have come out as it was at a rural address with very long drive.

Went to doctors as well and he's put me on antibiotics due to pierced skin

Depending , I had a small dog bite 7 yr ago no more than half inch scar on my shin and I got £750. Just settled on a dog attack 2 yrs ago that tore a tendon in my knee for £5400. Justice doesn't move quick but it's worth it in the end.

I was bitten on the dog owners land and got nothing only a bite which drew blood. The dog warden,police and CWU solicitors were all involved. Didn't even get an apology from the dog owner. Its a shame that you have to be a child before something gets done. Seems to me ,in my case, its ok to bite adults but children get a bit more sympathy when this happens. Hope you are ok mate!!!

Bruising a lot worse today so more photos to throw at them,
May as well see this through, will give our union man something to do!
Plus get my £3 a weeks worth! 107? What's that walk?!
Mark was ok, Chris was more concerned though surprisingly!

Sorry you have been bitten by a dog ,

It may not be life threatening but you should have taken a few days off ,

As for compo, if you have scars after 15 weeks then you can apply for Ind injuries ,(DOWP) this helps compo

I have had two bites in the last 5 yrs, one was on thigh got £5.000, recently got 1700, keep all receipts .

It takes between 2-3yrs for compo, plus ROyal mail have an insurance policy that they pay out on if you are awarded on the Ind injury board,

I am awaiting for compo for the back injury from RM insurance policy , but they are dragging there feet it has taken 4yrs so far.
