Signed off due to ill health

Post by emmaa_uk »

Hi
I have currently been signed off work for 2 weeks now due to the stress of the working environment, being that the deliveries are just too hard now and I can never complete my delivery on time with all the walking.
Its taking it toll on my knees and hips (being in alot of pain at times and I am only 30!) anyway, I spoke to atos and they have booked a phone assessment for me on monday but I am wondering if I should wait for atos to tell me what I can and cant do or just return to work knowing the delivery wont change.
Can anyone shed any light?

I would wait for Atos to get in touch.I am currently off work through sickness and I had a phone assesment and when Atos sent the report a few days later through the post, they said I was unfit for work.Currently awaiting physio with them.Hope this is of help to you

Glad it's not just me feeling like this - I was same as you last year when all the change took place , now this year nothing has changed and got even worse - workloads are unmanageable however as some still come in early etc run round and prove they think they are better than anyone else (they arnt just bigheads and work for FREE) the problems continue ! For me personally I feel like it's really messed my mind up and my knees too ! No job is worth ruining your health for and sadly now I'm getting closer after over 10yrs of Realiable, sick free, passionate service of taking the leap of faith ! Hope all works out for you - they don't seem to care much now sadly - but they used too ???

get some physio if you can get a scan, to see what damage has been done.
the workloads are too much for many.
on a full time contract you can get 6 months sick pay on full.
i hope you get better.
