told not to use lwt's
whats the score on this one then?,,, people in our office have been handing back left right and centre, they cant complete in allocated time because the revisions are not working, we,ve all said it takes longer when we use the trolley. this was the answer when we were in the middle of the floor. if you can complete without using the trolley, then DONT use it. wtf. are there any h&s reps on here with a take on this.?? it was my understanding that it was going to be mandatory to use them, weight off shoulder etc. now, its only if it suits them, which is now never as we cant complete. if you were caught doing something with complete disregard for h&s you would be sacked for gross misconduct. but now they are telling us exactly that. i dont wish an accident or injury on anyone, but if someone IS injured by not adhering to h&s rules, would they expect to be backed up by royal mail because they were told to ignore the rules?? bollox would they. in my view the management should be brought to bear for even suggesting it. rant over.

Same thing going on in my office , report it to your union branch or email the Chief Executive and whatever you do keep insisting on using your trolleydaveyeff wrote:whats the score on this one then?,,, people in our office have been handing back left right and centre, they cant complete in allocated time because the revisions are not working, we,ve all said it takes longer when we use the trolley. this was the answer when we were in the middle of the floor. if you can complete without using the trolley, then DONT use it. wtf. are there any h&s reps on here with a take on this.?? it was my understanding that it was going to be mandatory to use them, weight off shoulder etc. now, its only if it suits them, which is now never as we cant complete. if you were caught doing something with complete disregard for h&s you would be sacked for gross misconduct. but now they are telling us exactly that. i dont wish an accident or injury on anyone, but if someone IS injured by not adhering to h&s rules, would they expect to be backed up by royal mail because they were told to ignore the rules?? bollox would they. in my view the management should be brought to bear for even suggesting it. rant over.

In our DO they know it can't be done properly and on time most days. So we have now all been informed that if you get caught without a trolley, they will cut the straps off! Not on managements side, but why dont they just supply bags without proper straps. No choice but to do the job properly then. Simples as the meercats say. Still wont stop the idiots coming in early though !

very good idea that, wonder if it was suggested to the courier what their comments would be. negative probably due to cost.bag69 wrote:In our DO they know it can't be done properly and on time most days. Dave tell your members that they "have" to use the equipment assigned for the duty. These revisions are all about weight off the shoulder. If any manager tells you otherwise ask him to put it in black and white and flag it up to your area rep. Hope this helps
