Think I picked something up from sheep's poo, No I wasn't shagging it!!! They are very pretty though!
Very bad stomach cramps, the "run's" etc. ( I'll save you all the gory details.)
This is my first ill health, except AOD/Dog attacks for about 3yrs.

Took today as Sickness and tomorrow is my day-off. This is my first sickness for over a year, the last being related to previous AOD/Dog attack.
Thinking of going back Thurs/Fri, but depends on my recovery.

So...What difference will it make if I have minimum time, Tues/Weds, or if not recovered, be off til next Monday?
Does the Stage process raise it's ugly head with any of the above?

Motherinlaw staying this week, and saying she's not well after me being unwell.
Might be going through the family...

I'll play-it-by-ear and see if recovery is full and effective and keep RM informed.

remember your day off counts as a day off sick as you went ill before it, and so does Sundays. (At least it does on my sickness form)

If you feel you will be better monday, ring up SATURDAY and leave a message saying you felt better during the day, you'll be back Monday. Thats personally how I would play it. You do not want them counting Sunday.

You can self certify for seven days I believe.

Salmonella and Yersiniosis can be caught from sheep crap and these will give you bad guts.

Not work related, walking in the lovely Mts we have on the weekend.
Sat down and put hand out..then YUK!
Thought I had cleaned it all off in stream, but obviously not.
Had a roll/biscuit about an hour later.
Have to take handwipes/gel with us nxt time...

I was told by a senior DSM the same thing, "ring in by Saturday if returning by the following Monday" strange that very rarely quite Senior RM managers do give spot on advice.

Stay off until you're better. The 19th-Century procedure RM still uses counts an absence of just ONE day as heavily as A WEEK.

Bloke I know at a DO that shall remain nameless went back to work after 2 days chucking-up, when he didn't look 100% (he used to be a 'didn't want to let my customers down' sort of bloke).
Subsequently, he had a poor run of luck with his health and had two more absences that took him up to 15 days (despite using the phone-in on Saturday thingy) and the DOM issued him a Stage 1. After that he said if he'd known the DOM would take a hard line, he'd have had a full week off on the first absence, as he got no gratitude for coming back quickly, and going 'over' by six days (not two) would have got him the same outcome: a Stage 1 being issued

Only in RM-land would you have a policy that almost encourages people to take a full week off, because returning to work sooner still lands you with a Stage warning !!!

Stomach cramps, feeling freezing then sweating buckets 5 mins later, headaches etc, seems like Gastric Flu or similar.

But not fresh stream water from the same mountainside.
Best stick to pure water boiled with wholesome malt and hops and left to ferment for a week.

Well, the soup I just had could have been thrown straight down the bog, to cut out the middle-man!
I'm going to have to wear a Biohazard suit the next time I go out...

Only good thing is...3lb loss on the scales in a day.
Just water no doubt.
