Hi,
Went for what I believed was a Management Interview today, only to be told that I was going out to reconstruct my AOD [clattered my knee off a gate].
There was no H & S Rep or CWU Rep in the office and I was still under a doctor's line [Injury still sore].
I told them I would do it when I was fully fit and returned to work.
But my DOM dictated to me saying I couldn't refuse, 'this was not an option'.
I walked out and went home.
Was I right to do this or can they now order us to do whatever they want?

Re: Forced Reconstruction of AOD
The manager is meant to invetigate the accident with a visit to the location with photographs and interviews etc.
I have never heard of anyone having to reconstruct the acccident!
Does the manager think he's on Crimewatch!
I believe you did the correct thing after all he may have pressured you into returning to work, Managers believe they are doctors too!

What is going on is straight and simple, bullying and harrasment. Until Dave, Dingo and colleagues get a grip on this, I can see someone lashing out at one of these managers. B&H should now be the absolute priority of our Union. Until this is stamped out once and for all, we and the union should not engage in any talks, dialogues or whatever name you want to put on it with this disgrace of a company.

So much for your caring employer, I would have done exactly the same. The area H&S rep should get on to this one straight away.
