Post by brothermagrew »

No. 916/10 Ref EX5 Date: 20 October 2010

To: All Branches with Postal Members

Dear Colleagues

ROYAL MAIL GROUP - HSE STRATEGY PLEDGE:

Attached for the information of Area Safety Reps in Royal Mail Group (Royal Mail Letters, Parcelforce and POL) is a copy of a letter from Keith Scott Head of Safety Royal Mail Group to Geoffrey Podger HSE Chief Executive in relation to the HSE Strategy "The Health & Safety of Great Britain - Be Part of The Solution". Royal Mail Group signed the 'Pledge' to the Strategy and set out the Group's commitments. Additionally the three Businesses added their support to the Strategy concentrating on three topics within the strategy. The attached may be a useful reference document to ASRs in Regional and local discussions if the need arises to remind managers of the businesses 'Pledge'.

Yours Sincerely

Aye i will run this by my area safety rep to see what fruits he expects the above to produce.
Dave Joyce seems to do a good job(prob why he wasnt involved in negotiating the 2010 and beyond arse up),but i do
wonder if he knows how little H&S is adhered to in delivery offices(well certainly my neck o the woods),would love to
be able to invite him to my office and see what he thinks.
