heavy delivery

I have just been recovering from a hernia operation and in a couple of weeks I have to go back to my rural delivery. I also have a back disability but seldom let that get in the way of doing my job,although it does give me pain from time to time. The only thing that helps me ,is using the connect van rather than the combi. I have just been told that a walking duty of 1 hour has been added to my rural delivery and that will make my life very difficult and inpossible to do my job properly.When I say this to my managers they just say that "Others can do it" yeah! I thought if you had a problem the managers were supposed to make reasonable adjustments to assist ,not make it more difficult. Oh and the vans have been switched back over ,so that makes life pretty miserable too. Does anyone have any views on this or is it just maybe I am just dreaming it!!

If you are then contact your H&S rep and start the procedure to get the management to do what they should already be doing.

If you are not then still contact your H&S rep but also your own GP and ATOS to get yourself registered.

we are getting alot of complaints about the combi van..big guys such as myself have to fall onto the seat ,rather than like in the connect sit on it.sone guy has got sever back pain.the doms answer was to nick my connect and give it to him .all the time i was telling him its going to do the same for me.falling into the van 200 times a day directly inpacting your spinal colume..NOT HEALTHY AT ALL REALLY
