Can anybody tell me please are there any rules on temprature in vans,we have to travel with the windows up because of mail integrity but little thought, infact NO thought is given to the driver,we have no air con (COST COST COST) but how costly would it be to RM if someone collapsed at the wheel and died???
How costly would it be to RM if someone passed out at the wheel and killed a member of the public???
We know as postpeople the RM don't put to much value on us,but i didn't think that i was more worthless than the running cost of air con!!!!
Any thoughts on the above subject would be appreciated hopefully before it gets to hot.

If you're in the van then open the window but i know I spend the majority of my time out of the van delivering.

I drive a van delivering packets and the van is so shite that I have to leave the door open and the van running even if I go up into a block of flats, what would the IB think of that, the managers know about the van and tell me to do it....................should get it in writing really!!!

YES
Without it in writing I can't see any Manager, even outside RM, putting their neck on the line when something untoward happens.
