normally associated with typist and similiar tasks but not exclusively ....... our industry tends to be load bearing joints ie shoulders, hips and knees and the associated muscle structure ie shoulders/trapezius and rhomboids. Is it worth while doing a work place audit on body mapping common dysfunctions?

Re: carpels tunnel
I had Carpel Tunnel, there is no known cause apparently. Mine was either caused by inputing data on to the computer(now gone) in Callers or carrying bundles in my left hand. I had an operation to fix the problem, 4 weeks off work and a Stage 3 interview

Re: carpels tunnel
I sometimes do have a tingling sensation in some of my fingers, not the first three but random ones at random times. Carpel tunnel doesn’t come and go its always the first 3 or 4 finger tingling. Your wrist might be that it didn’t set right when it healed.

Re: carpels tunnel
The only fingers you don't feel the tingling in is the pinky and half of the ring finger. The shooting pains to the inside of the elbow are much worse. I've had both hands repaired. One successfully, one not so successfully. Left with very little feeling in my left hand. Which does come in handy when tying up a bundle and the rubber band pings me
With CTS, I don't see how prepping the top row would be any different from prepping any other row tbh. The only problems I have when prepping is those stupid envelopes that stick together, don't always feel i got 2 of them in my hand.

Re: carpels tunnel
Carpus is a word derived from the Greek word "karpos" which means "wrist." The wrist is surrounded by a band of fibrous tissue that normally functions as a support for the joint. The tight space between this fibrous band and the wrist bone is called the carpal tunnel.
