Post by drevil1969uk »

Exactly what the heading says, can anyone tell me the maximum temperture in a mail centre?

I mean at work tonight, (monday) we just came back from industrial action and im sure they put the heating on, on purpose

 just a thought. but in Canada and America you can refuse to work if temperatures rise above forty degrees(indoors) it is deemed a health and safety risk.

Management have solved the problem of high temperatures
at my MC by removing all the thermometers on the floor.

You have Air Conditioning?!?!?

We have to make do, with propping the Fire Exits open. We have been told that they're going to hire some fans. But based on past experience, I think we'll probably get them by November!

Yeah it barely solves the heating problems, but you walk out with industrial deafness because they sound like a Boeing 747 taking off :d'oh!

This weathers great for Johnny Ronson tho, it means he can get a natural tan and look at himself in more mirrors going "whos a pretty shift manager then"

Plus, if it gets too hot there might be a fire .. just as well we have Big Backdraft on the back shift then :chuckle

It's all very well even having thermometers to monitor the temperature .. but how do you define the "ReasonableTempertaure" in the HSAW regs?

That's like having a car, but not knowing how to drive it
