"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."

Your employer or manager will
want to welcome you back and
check how you are feeling
...and, in Royal Mail, be desperate to punish you, whatever your circumstances.

Who the heck writes thus guff?

If your employer has an occupational
health nurse or doctor, contact them
about what help you might need to
return to work. They will not discuss
your health without your consent.

I beg to differ, they will discuss whatever they feel, especially if they think it will help to ease you out of your job.

Any remaining pain or
discomfort you feel can often
be managed with the right
adjustments at work.
■ Work, when well managed, is
good for your health, but
staying off work can make
you feel worse.

Right adjustments??????? Oh yes a couple of weeks on light duties then shoved back onto a delivery at the earliest they can as the budget is too tight!
I`d sooner stay off thanks and not have to put up with a set of feckwits.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.
