Gritting the carpark?
Who's job is it to grit the staff car park so that it's safe to walk/drive on in the morning. At out PF depot some of the lads load up outside I would imagine it is quite dangerous at the moment with the current conditions. The carpark area has been like an ice rink and I would like to know who to blame should anything happen to myself/vehicle.

Re: Gritting the carpark?
I don't know who does it. But our Car Park is always gritted, whenever there is a risk of ice or snow. I won't be back in 'till Monday, but if no-one else has told you by then. I'll try to find out who does ours.

Pose that very question to one of the Depot Managers, if the staff car park is on Royal Mail property then ultimately it must be their responsibility for properly ensuring the health and safety of all their members of staff.smok3y666 wrote:Who's job is it to grit the staff car park so that it's safe to walk/drive on in the morning. Well, we were told we know where it is if we need to use any. I wonder what Alan would say if I asked him?

Re: Gritting the carpark?
That's terrible! We always have the Car Park gritted. So if they can do it for us, with such a big car park, and lorry park, then why can't they do it elsewhere?
