Re: LATEST DOG NEWS ALERT
Had a situation the other day got me thinking,new family moved in on my round told they have 2 dogs a Rotty and a Pit bull type dog.not seen the Roty,but seen the Pit bull
a few times scared the life out of me thought it was coming through the closed door !
Refusing to deliver their,and neighbours are terrified of this dog many nearby have young children.
The Dog is not a pit bull but similar,and I KNOW A BIT ABOUT DOGS ,IS DANGEROUS.
i feel sorry for the people living nearby,surley some thing can be done before the dog attacks and injures some one.
A question
why do you have to have a a tough looking dog ,with a stud collar to make yourself look hard.

Under the Dogs Act 1871, any person may make a complaint to a magistrates court that a dog is dangerous, or report the matter to the police. If the court is satisfied that a dog is dangerous and not kept under proper control, it may make an order for it to be controlled or destroyed.

Re: LATEST DOG NEWS ALERT
Easier still, just report it to the local dog warden (at your local council offices), your DOM should be able to help.brothermagrew wrote:Puppetmaster wrote:Had a situation the other day got me thinking,new family moved in on my round told they have 2 dogs a Rotty and a Pit bull type dog.not seen the Roty,but seen the Pit bull

I think the time has come for people to take some sort of classesin good dog ownership. one of my pet hates ,is those people who walk the dogs when taking kids to school, always of the lead, and causing mayhem,

A DOG lover whose pets mauled a nine-year-old boy has won her legal battle to save two of the three rottweilers from being put down.
Emma and Jinx were granted last-minute reprieves yesterday when three top judges at the Court of Appeal ruled that they can be sent to live with other dog lovers elsewhere.

I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that although does not wear a stud collar he might look hard to those that don’t know the breed but for those that do they are the most loyal gentle dogs one can own. Their nickname is "Nanny dog" because they are so good with kids and are one of only two breeds that the Kennel Club recommend with kids.
Please try these links to start to find out about SBTs. As a good start I would try
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jrDS0HOUbc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICtchIdQ-NY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There are hundreds of them if not thousands or try these links about the breed
http://www.sbtfun.com/nanny.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.sbtfun.com/Clever/Home.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.cleverstaffords.co.uk/sbt.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The last link although good say typically is not dog friendly but of the four on my walk only one is like that and my own dogs best mate is a Jack Russell and they romp around for hours.
Its the owners not the dog and whilst i dont know i would think the % of people killed or maimed or even injured by cars is far higher than compared to the % by dogs, but the media never seem to kick up such a stink about that. Of course my heart felt sadness goes out to all those killed and injured be it dog or car!
