Hi all!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I wondered if I could have some help?
I recently posted some flyers and on one of the houses as I was posting the flyer a dog jumped at the door and I pulled out my hand. Now the area that I was in isnt a bad area, its quite a 'poor' area, I dont think the chances of needles being in the post box is high, but on my finger, theres little holes, now im not sure if I pulled out the hairs on my finger when I pulled my hand out but I also thought what if it was needle holes? I'm probably just being paranoid, however I'm just wondering if its something common? Needles being put in letter boxes, as a 'booby trap' sort of thing. It didnt bleed
Like I said, I dont know if im just being paranoid but obviously if it was needles I want to get it sorted and tested etc... How should I go about it and what are the chances that it was needles?
When I have had my flu jabs in the past my arm always goes tender, and my finger hasnt gone tender, it hurt after I pulled my finger out but I'm not sure if that was because I quickly pulled it against the rubber/metal of the letter box and I didnt 'feel' anything stab me, but then again would I with needles?
Thanks a million!

I can't tell you it's impossible but I would say it's very unlikely.
You do find strange objects stuffed into letterboxes, I've found everything from money to women's knickers but I've never seen any needles and I've worked in some pretty dodgy places over the years.
It's not that unusual to find them dumped in post boxes in some of the rougher areas though so it's something we have to be careful of when emptying the boxes.

If your worried go get checked out, maybe have a tetanus jab, I’m more concerned about these hairs on your fingers
