Would have been the ideal opportunity sister for you to ask your Acting LM to look in the ERICA Folder whilst you were present and see if your (retained file copy for your 2009 AOD) was inside the folder.Stormproof wrote:Just had to do another ERICA after the cat attack yesterday (yes I've heard all the cat jokes today!). Acting LM filled it in.......got there eventually
and I made sure I saw the copy in black & white and signed it this time.

Re: ERICA
I will ask him to have a look tomorrow, though I think that has already been searched. One of the H & S reps asked a LM to look for it and I'm sure the LM got an OPG on light duties to go through it last week, which IMO is wrong, confidential information and all that

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I don't trust RM to do anything properly anymore, so from now on I keep my own photo/video records.

Re: ERICA
With regards sister to your personal health and safety whilst attempting to deliver mail through a customers letterbox, I would suggest that you ask your manager to supply you with one of these new fangled delivery aids namely posting pegs available to help your people post safely through letterboxes without injury from dog, cat etc.Stormproof wrote:What do you mean how far was my hand in?
Sometimes refered to as dog pegs.
Q How do I use the posting peg?
A Feed your envelope(s) into the end of peg, push though the letter box, rotate the mail ninety
degrees (then let it drop) and pull the peg out of the letter box. If the peg gets jammed or is
grabbed by a dog, or it cannot be pulled back out, leave it behind.
And if your manager pleads ignorance then tell him that it comes under the WRAP system (Walk Risk Assessment Platform).

Re: ERICA
Don't think we've got any of them at the office. I think my idea is better........I'm not delivering there until either they get a cage behind the letterbox or the cat is dead.

Re: ERICA
That's your call sister on refusing to deliver there until certain criteria has been met, but what is your manager's response to the ongoing problem, have they temporarily suspended delivery of mail to that address for health and safety reasons and more importanly have management carried out a fresh risk assessment as you received an injury whilst delivering. With regards to the post pegs, you probably will not have any of them at your office but that doesn't stop your manager from getting hold of some. Granted your idea may be better, I was though only offering an alternative viable option and in one in which RM managers will look at when they get up to date with WRAP.Stormproof wrote:Don't think we've got any of them at the office. Re: ERICA
Would have thought that any CWU Area Health and Safety Rep who frequents RMC would be able to answer as they apparently had training on ERICA. Failing that why not Email Dave Joyce with your query.POSTMAN wrote:Anyone?POSTMAN wrote:Question, gal at my place fell over, she had a cut and a bruise but it seems ERICA can only input 1 injury according to the lino,is this right?

Re: ERICA
Had a row with one of the LM this morning because he said I needed re-training because I put my hand through the letterbox. I let him have it with both barrels
and showed him the video I recorded yesterday. Soon changed his tune and said that deliveries were to be suspended immediately. I KNEW they would try and put the blame on me for this, well RM I ain't as stupid as you think
