Some colleagues & my union rep have received an email regarding the lack of members who have registered with RMSPS pension scheme 6% has been quoted.. A bit vague “I know” anyone else received the email or is it a scam

Re: CWU RMSPS Registration
There is an online portal on the RMSPS website enabling members to see their benefits, which I registered for quite a while ago.
But having just tried to login, all I get is a message saying 'The specified URL cannot be found'.

I’ve received it too and tried to sign in but it just hangs there. I think it’s legit as I received an email from my rep about it.

Re: CWU RMSPS Registration
The portal is quite useful but does tend to be slow and or under maintenance a lot. Like at the moment. Found it useful as it shows your monthly payslip for the final salary pension when your receiving it about a week or so before its paid. So at least it gives you a chance to query it if somethings wrong and get it sorted before its paid!

Re: CWU RMSPS Registration
I received the email yesterday, I have tried previously on 2 occasions to register for RMSPS portal but have been unsuccessful both times. I have given up now as I have already taken my NRA60 pension last year. If my experience is anything to go by no wonder only 6% have registered.

Re: CWU RMSPS Registration
The CWU are working alongside the Cabinet Office to ensure that members who joined Royal Mail before 2012 know how to access information about the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme (RMSPS).
It is vital for your retirement planning that you register for a RMSPS account
Only 6% of RMSPS members have registered for an online account. Through this account, you will be able to access important information, resources and how much you can expect to receive when you retire. Having this information is the best way that you can plan effectively for your retirement.
How to register
1. Make sure you have your National Insurance number to hand before you start
2. Go to www.royalmailsps.co.uk
3. Click on ‘Sign in’
4. Click on ‘Register’
5. Enter the security code shown on the screen in the security code box
6. You will need to create a sign in name and password
7. Once you have completed this you will be asked to create a security question and answer along with providing some personal data, including your National Insurance number, a contact email address, phone number and your date of birth. We’ll then email you a PIN number to complete your registration. Then that’s it, you’re signed up!
Feedback and support
To ensure that this information is as accessible as possible, we would also ask that you use the feedback facility on www.royalmailsps.co.uk. By clicking the red tab on the right of the website, you will be invited to fill in a short survey on your experiences of accessing information relating to RMSPS.
If you need more help you can contact the RMSPS directly by post, email or telephone using the contact details here.
Yours sincerely,
Andy Furey Assistant Secretary
