Pensions Contrib Pay

On our payslips this is shown under the office code. I know pension contributions are 6% of this figure but I am unable to reconcile it using the amounts on the "payments" side of the payslip. Any ideas?

I don't think it includes the delivery supplement (if you work deliveries).

1% is £4.29 or £4.30 - don't know inner/outer London pay rate.

I can't get mine to equal any combination of payslip entries.

Thanks......I searched within the thread and found nothing. The link had lots of hits but still no specific reason why I can't reconcile the numbers. Removing the LEL wasn't something I had considered though so that was useful but I'm still a bit out.

Well for me 6% is just under £26.

Does anyone know if you can increase the amount you pay in to your pension? So pay in 8% for example?

I think you would need to do that via an AVC.

Which scheme are you in?

If it's the RMPP, then paying Additional Voluntary Contributions(AVC's) via Flexiplan and/or Bonuspan is the way to go: https://www.royalmailpensionplan.co.uk/ ... n-benefits" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You can't pay more into the DBCBS.

If you are in section C of the pension, not all of your pay is pensionable. About £64 per week of it, I think. In delivery, there are two allowances. Only one is pensionable. No idea what you get in MDEC, so can't help with that.
