Hi all.

guessing this is a question for robertt.

I am a pension section C member and paying into the pensionplan, alongside bonusplan £2.88 and flexiplan paying in £60.

I have received my payslip and all payments have moved from left side of wage slip to the right.

It seems to look like I am not saving on the ni contributions like I used to!!! help!!!????. It is not worth my while to pay into fleixplan if I am no longer making saving on national insurance,

Phoned pension helpline who can't seem to help me and directing me to the pay helpline people.

The same question has been answered in this thread. As the national minimum wage has just increased to £8.72 from 1st April then you will have to lower your AVC payments to keep your net wage above £8.72 per hour to avoid falling out of PSE.

He's only paying in £60 a week. He should be under the limit..
As i believe its worked out, basic hour pay-min wage mutiply by contracted hours.
Ie 11.62-8.72x 38= £110.20

He could be P/T. Lets say 20 hours per week which is £2.90 x 20 = £58. If he is paying £60 then he will fallout of PSE.

He could also be paying other contributions that attract the same tax breaks, like the P&M share scheme and things bought via MyBundle.

Yes he could be only on 20 hours.. I'm in the same boat i pay £20.74 into the dbcbs c scheme and top up £50 into flexi plan.
I have been hammered with dedections this week. My flexi plan and dbcbs c have gone into the right side of the wage slip..
I do 35 hours so thought i could get away with £101.50

No!!!! I am not part time!!!! I am full time on 38 hours.

My contributions and regular deductions week to week are as below, and they do not change!:

RMPP C DBCBS - £25.48
BONUS PLAN £2.88
FLEXI PLAN £60
partnership and matching plan £23.07

This is all that I pay from my wages, no loans, no my bundle, no car lease etc.

Just the above week to week, but now I find myself mysteriously dropped out of pse????

WHY?????????? :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

From what you've said, there is no obvious reason why you've dropped out of PSE, although I seem to remember someone on here at the start of the last tax year(or possibly the one before), who had a similar thing happen, and it righted itself the following week.

I don't think there was any reason for it, other than some kind of blip in the system. So my suggestion is to wait for next weeks wage slip to see if the same thing happens again, and then take it from there.

It happened to me as well on week 52, cost me abut £40. The following week, back to normal, I have made an ajustment thinking it was because of the minimum wage increase (it hasn't been implemented yet) and as I say this week's money was fine . Looks like wages have messed up and cost us money.

Week 1 took me out of salary exchange but week 2 was back to normal. I queried it with the pay advice centre and the response is below. I paid about £12 more NI than I would expect in week 1.

"The PSE adjustments moved over because of the overtime keyed for week 52:

PSE is always 1 week in Retro so the overtime payments are proper to week 52 the previous tax year it forces the pension payments to drop out of PSE in week 1 every year as you have noticed the payments are now back where they should be ."

I'm on 38 hrs. I've had the same problem. I was paying £2.88 Bonus Plan + £118 Flexi Plan. I've had to lower my payment for Flexi Plan to £98 to stay within PSE. Two out of the last three pay slips have shown me dropping out of PSE. From now on I'll have to keep an eye on this as the minimum wage increases yearly. No guarantee we'll get annual pay rises from now on. Probably wont happen this year at least.
